Polish Road to Automation

Erica lead the panel discussion for the V4 Group (Visegard Group) for Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and Motor Transport Institute. The 2nd Conference on The Future of Polish Road Automation (AV-PL) was organised on June 7th, 2021 in a hybrid formula. For more information go to

PIARC 26th Word Road Congress in Abu Dhabi

Erica participated in the Word Congress and especially in the Automated vehicle session on Oct. 10. The event was a great success also for Poland: strong representation from the Polish NRA and road industry was present. The National Asset Management Program conducted in partnership between the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, GDDKiA, IBDiM and Technical University of Wroclaw was acknowledged.

STAPLE ALP.Lab Test Site Visit, June 2019

Staple consortium participated in the Automated Vehicles Test site visit as part of WP3 activities and Stakeholder Consultations. ALP. Lab is the CAV meta-lab test site located in Graz, Austria. It consists consists of several physical and virtual facilities offering grounds for CAVs driving, simulation and modelling. PK ITS, May 2019

XII Polish ITS Congress took place on May 22-23 in Technical University of Warsaw, Poland. Many topics were covered including electrification (conference was opened by dr. Michał Kurtyka secretary of state in the Polish Ministry of Environment) of road transport, automated road transport, MaaS , C-ITS with Martin Bohem as keynote speaker and many more. ERICA made a presentation on the STAPLE project presenting European perspective on the CAVs test sites and also chaired a session on electrification and electromobility. FIRM 2019

Bianual conference of the Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories (FEHRL) took place on March 26-28 in Brussels. FEHRL also celebrated its 30th Anniversary Celebration. The event bought together research and industry perspective on the key topics such as automation and electrification, inspection and maintenance, resilience and asset management and skills and knowledge transfer. More than 17th European projects were presented featuring collaborative planning and from innovation to deployment. See Report and Movie from the conference at: LINK

STAPLE Workshop, Tallin, March 6-7, 2019

STAPLE project participated in the CEDR CAD Meeting in Tallinn, March 6-7 where all three projects funded by CEDR transitional research programme 2017 call on Automation were featured. On day two STAPLE team organized a stakeholder workshop with NRAs where main project achievements so far were presented. See more at:

TRB 2022 Annual Meeting

The TRB 101th Annual Meeting will be held 9-13 January 2022. The meeting program covers all transportation modes, with sessions and workshops addressing topics of interest to policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions.
